Winter ESCRS 2008, BarcelonaThe first European Z-LASIK Symposium was held in Barcelona, Spain, during the Winter ESCRS (February 8 - 10, 2008). As a part of the Eurotimes Satellite Education Programme, Ziemer Group hosted a mini symposium entitled "The Ziemer FEMTO LDV Laser: Technology, Surgical Technique, and Clinical Outcomes". The Symposium was chaired by Theo Seiler, PD, PhD (IROC Clinic and University of Zurich, Switzerland). The talks presented by the Symposium faculty are available for viewing below. 3

Seiler: The first 200 Eyes with the LDV Theo Seiler, MD, PhD (IROC Institute for Refractive and Ophthalmic Surgery, and University of Zurich, Switzerland) talks about his experience with the FEMTO LDV and compares it with mechanical microkeratomes and with the IntraLase femtosecond laser. B. Pajic: Prospective clinical study with the FEMTO LDV Bojan Pajic, MD, FEBO (Vedis, Klinik Pallas, Olten, Switzerland) discussed clinical outcomes, handling, and biomicroscopic analysis from his prospective study, comparing the FEMTO LDV femtosecond laser with the AMADEUS microkeratome.
