FEMTO LDV Z8 and Z8 NEO Advanced Application Training Course

The Course is for Service and Application specialists who have a minimum of 6 months experience working with the Ziemer FEMTO Z8. It is not a course for a beginner. You will learn how to provide surgery support to a doctor using the Z8, as well as how to doctors, nurses and operators.
You will get a deeper knowledge of the functionalities of the main components of the system. We will share with you our experience about how to guide a surgeon in complication handling.

Ziemer highly recommends attending both FEMTO LDV Z8 Advanced Training courses (Application Advanced and Service-Technical Advanced).

Prerequisite:
- Z8 Basic Applications Course
- Minimum of 6 months experience in the field supporting doctors using the Z8 system.

Target group:
This course is designed for Service and Application Engineers who have been working with the Ziemer FEMTO LDV Z8 for at least 6 months. Participants must have an educational background in a technical field and general knowledge of ophthalmology.

Objectives of the Course:
The following will be covered: Short refresher training about the functionality of the hardware.

• Refresher training for Lasik and Cataract applications including complication handling
• Advanced Cataract complication handling and avoidance
• Advanced Cornea Applications including (but not necessarily limited to):
  • Intrastromal Pockets for the implantation of corneal implants (Acufocus Kamra, Myorings, etc).
  • Lamellar Keratoplasty
  • Penetrating Keratoplasty
  • ALK, DALK, DSAEK and Inverse DSAEK

Applications Training is not a part of this training course.
The language of the training course is English.

This course is for Authorized Distributor Engineers only. End users may attend the FEMTO LDV Z8 User Applications course.
