New strategic alliance with Zubisoft

Ziemer forms strategic alliance to bring treatment nomograms and lens constant and astigmatism calculation to the new Digital Health Suite.

Ziemer, a global leader in laser eye care and diagnostics dedicated to helping people see better, today announced a strategic alliance with Zubisoft to bring laser nomogram and lens calculation technologies to the market. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Zubisoft GmbH is the manufacturer of the IBRA® Digital Health Suite, an industry-leading treatment planning and outcome system for cataract and refractive surgery.

“We’re excited to work with Zubisoft to integrate IBRA's technologies into Ziemer's upcoming digital health suite (DHS) for the planning and outcome analysis of CLEAR with the Femto Z8 laser platform, and ablation treatments with the upcoming AQUARIUZ solid-state laser. Cataract treatment is another envisaged field of application” said Frank Ziemer, CEO of Ziemer. “In doing so, our goal is to improve patient outcomes through enhanced workflow efficiency. We are convinced that our clients will benefit from vendor independent and open solutions as Zubisoft provides one.”

Zubisoft will continue to sale and develop IBRA®. As part of the alliance, Ziemer will get exclusive access to unique IBRA technology, and DHS development support
