FEMTO LDV Z8 and Z8 NEO Basic Technical Training Course

The Course is for Service and Application specialists or Field Service Engineers with or without prior experience with the Ziemer LDV systems and want to learn about the Femto LDV Z8 and Z8 NEO. Attendees will gain basic technical knowledge of the systems by learning how to perform Installation, System Clearance Protocol and Preventive Maintenance, including associated calibrations.

Due to the complexity of the system, the course will span 6 working days. 

Ziemer highly recommends attending the Femto LDV Z8 Basic Technical Training course and the LDV Basic Applications Training course.

Prerequisite:

No previous Ziemer experience or education is required for this course.

E-learning courses prior to course are recommended. Courses will be assigned through the Femto E-Learning Site. Contact for login credentials.

Target group:

This course is designed for Distributor Service and Application Engineers with or without experience with Ziemer Femto LDV products.

Participants must have an educational background in a technical field and general knowledge of ophthalmology.

Objectives of the Course:

The following will be covered:

• Femtosecond laser technology
• Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) technology
• Clinical usage of femtosecond laser technology
• Major component identification and explanation of their function in the systems
• Installation, preventive maintenance and basic checks of the LDV Z8 systems
• Upgrades, troubleshooting and remote support

The language of the training course is English.

Applications Training is not a part of this training course.
