Femto Posterior Capsulotomy

Launching for the first time in the industry the Femto Posterior Capsulotomy. Exclusively with CLARIGS on the FEMTO Z8 platform.

From Treating PCO to Preventing It

For the first time, the surgeon addresses the complete clinical picture within a single surgery. PCO (Posterior Capsular Opacification) no longer sits outside the surgeon’s control.

For premium IOL patients, the promise of premium cataract care is kept: the lasting outcome they invested in, without a second appointment.

Key Benefits

Control the Outcome, no more PCO

The posterior capsule is opened during the primary procedure, so the visual axis is clear from the start. One surgery, no follow-up procedure for PCO, and no waiting to find out whether the outcome holds.

Go beyond Premium

Premium IOL patients pay for a result that lasts. Removing PCO from the equation means the vision they leave with is the vision they keep, with no recurring visual impairment and no retreatment appointments years later.

Swiss Made Precision

Full-femto and low-energy throughout. Intraoperative OCT images the capsule before the cut, so diameter and centration are planned per case and delivered as planned: a perfectly circular opening with a smooth, continuous edge. The IOL is untouched, so its integrity and position are preserved.

The Femto Step

The FEMTO Z8 NEO takes an OCT image of the posterior capsule and performs a perfectly circular posterior capsulotomy. The resulting capsule disc begins to curl immediately after the cut. Within minutes, it rolls up and clears the visual axis on its own.
