The outstanding multipurpose laser platform is the go-to choice for refractive, therapeutic and cataract surgery.
As the pioneer in Low Energy Technology and with 20 years of experience in laser surgery, we enable Ophthalmologists to redefine surgical possibilities.
With its cutting-edge technology and precision, the FEMTO Z8 NEO opens up a world of advanced surgical capabilities. Experience unparalleled control and accuracy in your procedures, leading to better patient outcomes and enhanced surgical efficiency.
Empower your practice and expand your horizons with the FEMTO Z8 NEO.
The Low Energy Concept of our FEMTO lasers minimizes the energy required for each laser pulse by maintaining a short working distance from the optics to the eye, resulting in a tiny focus size. This innovation utilizes very low pulse energy in the nanojoule range, ensuring extremely high precision during laser procedures.
Prof. Holger Lubatschowski explains in the video below how the unique low energy concept enables highly precise laser treatments, and how it reduces the potential for undesirable side effects such as tissue rupture and gas bubbles.1 Furthermore, the small spot size and overlapping spots produce complete tissue dissection and eliminate tissue bridges.2
The FEMTO Z8 NEO is capable of performing refractive, therapeutic and cataract surgeries. The new software helps to plan and organize your treatments for an efficient workflow. It offers by far the largest choice of applications that can be customized for your surgical needs and it grows as your practice and technology advances.
The FEMTO Z8 NEO model offers a faster intraoperative OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scan. Enhanced eye structure detection (iris, lens, cornea) yields a faster OCT scan and in general a quicker processing time. The workflow is more efficient, the user saves time and the patient experience is improved.
The SLIM handpiece and SLIM patient interface provide easier docking in all situations. The FEMTO Z8 NEO is also the perfect partner for pediatric cataract surgery and patients with limited orbital access.
The FEMTO Z8 NEO ensures the highest degree of safety and comfort for both the surgeon and the patient. The laser can be used in a sterile operation room and fits perfectly under a surgical microscope. After the laser intervention, the laser is moved away granting the best possible access to the surgical site. No patient transfer or movement is needed during surgery. With the laser moving to the patient the surgical workflow is streamlined and OR time is saved.
The Ziemer handpiece is exclusively designed to have a very short working distance to the eye. This results in a high focusing power with very little energy per pulse needed. Small overlapping spots create a smooth tissue separation - only possible with the Ziemer Low Energy Concept.
LASIK: Refined energy settings and optimized side cut parameters integrated in the new FEMTO Z8 NEO result in flaps with improved side cut quality.
CATARACT: Enhanced trajectories provide a significantly faster cutting time and improved lens fragmentation efficiency.
Equipped with unique high-quality optics, the FEMTO Z8 NEO offers the exceptional precision you would expect from a swiss laser. The new Laser Monitoring System allows the laser to work efficiently in different operating room environments on the same day.
The laser can be shut down and stored away when not in use. The calibration is done automatically with every start-up so it only needs to be switched on when it is needed. The handle design makes moving the laser even easier when changing operating rooms but also during surgery.
The FEMTO Z8 NEO has wheels, which makes it portable and easy to move. The laser is brought to the surgery and not vice versa. Roll the laser in the OR when you need it, roll it out to an another OR or even another office as needed. The brake system and the small size make it a truly mobile system.
The FEMTO Z8 NEO is a truly versatile, multipurpose laser platform. With its exquisite components, the optimized software and the finest ophthalmic applications it represents the perfect partner for your practice.
The laser offers multiple applications that can be customized for your surgical needs and it grows as your practice and technology advances.
