(Junior) Business Development Specialist – New Products 80-100%

Are you passionate about innovative medical technology and excited about bringing new products to international markets? Join our International Partner Management team and play a key role in the global commercialization of our latest innovations, including our groundbreaking AQUARIUZ Wet Ablation Technology. Working closely with Sales Directors, distributors, Product Management and Marketing, you will support the successful launch and adoption of new products while building your expertise in an exciting and rapidly evolving field.

Tasks

  • Support Sales Directors in developing new business opportunities for newly launched products in international markets
  • Collaborate with distributors to define and execute effective go-to-market strategies
  • Build strong technical and commercial expertise in AQUARIUZ and new product technologies
  • Deliver and enhance product training for distributors and sales teams
  • Identify new customer segments and market opportunities enabled by innovative solutions
  • Support product demonstrations, congresses, workshops and roadshows
  • Gather and share market, clinical and competitive insights with Product Management and Marketing
  • Develop sales tools, training materials, objection-handling guides and competitive positioning assets
  • Monitor product rollouts, distributor certifications and installed base development
  • Ensure consistent execution of Ziemer’s brand and product positioning across customer interactions

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Optometry, Optics or a related discipline
  • Initial experience in Sales, Business Development or a customer-facing role within medical technology, ophthalmology or the optical industry
  • Strong interest in innovative technologies and willingness to develop in-depth product expertise
  • Business fluent in English; additional languages are considered an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally experienced with CRM systems such as HubSpot
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and enthusiasm for identifying new market opportunities
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving market conditions
  • Willingness to travel internationally approximately 30–40% of the time
