As Director Strategic Accounts, you will take ownership of one of our most important growth initiatives: developing and expanding relationships with large ophthalmic clinic chains and corporate healthcare groups across international markets. In this highly visible role, you will define and execute strategic account plans, strengthen executive-level customer relationships, and collaborate closely with Sales Directors, distributors, Finance and Executive Management to deliver sustainable business growth.

Tasks

  • Build, manage, and develop international strategic accounts and ophthalmic hospital groups
  • Develop and implement long-term growth strategies for key accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate international customer management with Sales Directors and distribution partners
  • Manage cross-market pricing strategies and resolve channel conflicts
  • Represent the company in strategic customer meetings, business reviews, and international congresses
  • Monitor market and competitive developments and provide strategic recommendations
  • Identify new business opportunities and support the development of new market segments
  • Contribute to the development of the global Strategic Account strategy

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in medical technology or capital equipment
  • Proven track record in international Key Account Management
  • Strong understanding of complex procurement and account management structures
  • Experience in ophthalmology or ophthalmic medical technology is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills at executive level
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented mindset with a high level of initiative
  • Experience coordinating international and cross-functional teams
  • Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot)
  • Willingness to travel internationally
