Ziemer is officially the new sponsor of the Bern Racing Team. The collaboration between the high-tech medical company and the electric racing team BRT is the perfect fusion of two common passions: technology and innovation.

The current Bern Racing Team consists of 55 Bachelor students from all the disciplines studied at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Biel und Burgdorf who, when they are not studying, put their all into this project. In connection with this project, the students conceive, design and build an electric "formula" type racing car over the course of a year, so that they are then able to take part in the world's largest engineering competition: "Formula Student".

Gaëtan Montavon, CEO of the Bern Racing Team, on the project goals for the new season: "We are proud to have Ziemer Ophthalmology as a sponsor. Ziemer helps us take another step forward in the pursuit of our goals for the 2023 season. The team's goals for this season include participation in several Formula Student competitions across Europe and improving the performance and reliability of our electric racing cars. The design process for the new racing car is progressing well and will be unveiled at the start of June. The final details have been completed, and the first rounds are imminent. In July, the team will then start measuring themselves against the best teams."
